Salary plus employer taxes, benefits, equipment and overhead. Typically 1.25 to 1.4. Using bare salary understates the cost of the time by roughly a third.
What automation would do to it
Be honest. A process that took four hours and now takes twenty minutes of work plus three hours of checking has not saved anything, it has changed the job title.
Costs, if you want the net position
