Data & Analytics Management

Quality gates that block publication rather than raise a ticket, one authoritative definition per concept, and lineage that answers a challenged number.

Data & Analytics Management
How it is boughtMonthly recurring
Duration12-month term, 30 days notice after month 3
Written forOrganisations whose reporting is load-bearing and whose pipelines have no owner

A wrong number that is visible costs the credibility of every other number on the surface. Most pipelines have no quality gates, so the reader finds the problem before the alerting does.

What you receive

Named artifacts, not activities. If one of these is not delivered, the engagement is not complete.

  • Quality gates in the pipeline, blocking publication rather than raising a ticket: row count, completeness, key uniqueness, distribution and freshness
  • A definitions register, one authoritative number per concept, with the query behind it
  • Lineage maintained from source to output, so a challenged figure is answerable without escalating to a person
  • Freshness and failure alerting to an agreed recipient, with the runbook
  • A monthly report: what failed, what was blocked, and what was published late rather than wrong

How it runs

  • Month 1: baseline the pipelines, agree the expectations each gate compares against, and write the definitions register.
  • Monthly: gate review, definition disputes resolved once rather than repeatedly, and a look at what nearly got through.

What this deliberately does not include

Published with the same prominence as the deliverables. A scope with no stated exclusions is a scope that will be argued about later, and the argument always happens at the worst possible moment.

  • Building new pipelines or a warehouse migration. Those are projects.
  • Dashboard design and BI development.
  • Deciding what a business metric should mean. We make the definition authoritative and visible; the business owns what it says.

How you know it is finished

A number can be challenged and answered from lineage rather than from a person, and nothing wrong has been published without a gate stopping it.

What you need ready

Access to the pipelines and the warehouse, and a named owner per data domain.

Start this engagement

Every engagement starts with a written scope confirmation before any invoice is raised. Nothing here is a click-to-buy: we confirm what you need, agree the scope in writing, then invoice. If the scoping conversation shows that a smaller engagement, or none at all, is the right answer, we say so before anything is signed.
